Sands of the Forgotten journeys into a vast desert world where ancient symbols, buried ruins, and distant voices point toward a civilization lost beneath the sand. Featuring music inspired by David Arnold’s Stargate, Sting’s Desert Rose, and Christopher Tin’s Baba Yetu, the production blends cinematic grandeur, hypnotic desert rhythm, and uplifting world-music energy into a story of discovery and awakening.
From the first uncovering of a forgotten map to the shimmering promise of an oasis, the show follows an expedition across the dunes toward a hidden city beneath the sun. As the desert begins to reveal its secrets, what was once buried comes alive again — not as a relic of the past, but as a powerful reminder that some stories are simply waiting to be remembered.
Note Regarding Percussion Parts/Sounds
Most percussion sounds in my marching shows are meant to represent “percussion goes here” - I’m not a marching percussion writer…they are just a sketch.
I will work with your percussion arranger or help you find one!
