Obsidian explores the beauty and energy of a stone defined by darkness, reflection, and light. This original Grade 2–3 marching band production draws inspiration from both obsidian and the color that bears its name, inviting audiences to discover the contrasting moods within its dark, reflective world.
Across five movements, From the Darkness begins the journey before Under Pressure brings a sense of tension and energy. Reflections offers a moment of contemplation, followed by the fractured imagery of Shattered. The production emerges into Brilliance, bringing its exploration of darkness and light to an uplifting conclusion.
With a nature-inspired concept and opportunities for visual storytelling through reflection, contrast, and shifting light, Obsidian gives developing ensembles a dramatic marching band show with a hopeful destination. The production features entirely original music, with no third-party source-music licensing fees required for the show as presented.

Regional Exclusivity
Each full-show purchase includes title-specific regional exclusivity, subject to availability. Once reserved, the same production will not be licensed to another school within approximately 100 miles of your program for that competitive season. Exclusivity follows the geographic radius across state lines and remains in effect through December 31.
